Tips for Resubmitting Your 10DLC Registration
If you have tried to register your practice for the 10DLC requirements before but you are still receiving communications asking you to register, your registration may have failed.
The most common cause of registration failures is the legal business name not matching EXACTLY what is on the IRS paperwork.
Please refer to your recent tax information to find your legal business name and EIN, and then enter those in the form on this page and click Submit.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What is 10DLC and A2P messaging?
10-digit long code, or 10DLC, is the standard format for phone numbers in the United States. Your business phone number follows the 10DLC format. A2P stands for application-to-person texting. If you send text messages from your practice to patients using a service like Patient Engage, Demandforce, Lighthouse 360, Sesame Communications, or Dentrix Ascend, you are using application-to-person texting with a 10DLC phone number. To reduce texting spam, carriers have adopted a registration requirement for 10DLC business phone numbers.
If you do not register your 10DLC number, you will no longer be able to send text messages to your patients.
